Other than the wedding itself we would love to spend as much time with you and show you the wonders of this island. With this in mind there will be a few other get-togethers, all of which are informal and open to everyone. On Friday evening, watch the sunset with a drink at the Villa San Michele in Anacapri from 19:20-20:30 then stroll to an outside ristorante for an alfresco dinner. Saturday 4 September 11:30 AM: Wedding Blessing Capri Palace Hotel, Roof Garden Via Capodimonte, 2b 12:15 - 13:30: Brunch Capri Palace Hotel, Roof Garden Aperitivo of antipasti and cocktails after the Blessing. 13:30 - 14:00: Change to sea-going attire What better way to have fun than to sail around the island? To make the most of an afternoon of swimming and sailing, you may wish to change into boating attire. We will be working with the hotel to find somewhere to do the quick change. I
am certainly looking forward to Fiona on the boat in her wedding
dress...I will be in a Speedo's, scaring the fish. If you wish to, you can change before and after the boat trip. Alternatively you can stay at the hotel and relax by the pool for the afternoon.  14:15 - 14:45: Transfer to boats Transport will take you from the Capri Palace to Marina Grande, where we will board the sail boats. 15:00 - 18:00: Sailing around the island We will be sailing around the island, swimming, checking out the various grotos and generally kicking back and relaxing. 18:00 - 19:00: Disembark, il Riccio We will dock directly at the dinner venue. You will have a chance to change back into party clothes, should you so wish. If so, please prepare a bag of clothes that can be shipped down to the restaurant while we are sailing. You will be able to change at Il Riccio restaurant which has some changing facilities. As the change from sailing to party clothes may take some time - drinks will be flowing... feel free to stay in your swimming costumes ; ). 19:00 - 20:15: Welcome cocktails Il Riccio, Sundeck Cocktails and nibbles, simple as that. 20:15 - 22:30: Dinner At last! Don't you hate weddings that make you wait all day, hanging around roof terraces, taxis, boats..when all you want to do is tuck into some gourmet food, drink wine and dance like a nutta and snog a bridesmaid/best man...Well, there are no offical brides maids (and you haven't seen the best men...!) 22:30 - 01:30 am: After-dinner party Need we say more. |
Sunday 5 September You are on an island, probably hung over, and definitely not feeling energetic. Join us on the chairlift to the top of Monte Solaro for a midday hair of the dog followed by yet more views. If you decide to stay over, lunch and diner in one of the many wonderful Caprese restaurants.Monte Solaro 11:30 - Meet at Main square, Anacapri 19:00: Dinner in one of the islands many restaurants We hope you can make it to one or many of these get-togethers and hope you have a wonderful stay! |
